WIZZ Ground rolls out addvantage following successful trial

Following a successful trial, fleet operator WIZZ Ground is rolling out the addvantage dual-fuel system to more of its heavy-duty trucks.

addvantage Global is proud to announce that, following a successful trial, Wizz Ground will retrofit the addvantage system to its fleet of heavy-duty trucks. Installations will begin immediately and addvantage will be fitted to all their Return to Base trucks.

Commenting on the latest successful trial, Daniel Mitchell, CEO of addvantage Global, commented “We’re thrilled to have had such a successful trial and that Wizz Ground will now begin rolling out the addvantage technology to its fleet of heavy-duty trucks.”

Daniel continues: “We were confident that the trial would be successful. WIZZ Ground are a perfect fit for the addvantage system. They operate heavy-duty trucks, their trucks do 75,000+ miles/annum and they operate a Return to Base model. We’re looking forward to retrofitting the addvantage system to the Wizz Ground fleet and helping them achieve significant reductions in both their fuel costs and their CO2 emissions. Using our dashboard monitoring system, we were able to demonstrate the savings and CO2 reductions in real time, on real journeys with their own trucks.”

Notes for editors

The addvantage technology can be retrofitted to any heavy-duty truck in a matter of hours. Once fitted, it delivers proven fuel-cost savings of up to 13% and cuts CO2 emissions by up to 23%.

addvantage is already successful in the UK and Europe. Having achieved VCA approval, the addvantage system now has a pipeline of orders/LOIs in the high 10s of £millions.

WIZZ Ground was founded in 2014 by successful and serial entrepreneur Kobe Gudea. WIZZ Ground is now a rapidly growing UK haulier with an impressive list of customers that include Marks & Spencer, DFDS Logistics, ASDA, Homebase, Tesco and DHL.
