Howard Snell - Chairman

Howard has spent most of his career in C-Suite level positions for international banks including UBS.

Howard is also involved as an active shareholder and director of several small businesses.

Dale Griffiths - Chief Relationship Officer

Dale Griffiths MRICS MA BSc is a private equity professional with over 25 years of global experience. Dale has held several senior management and supervisory board positions with some of the largest names in the private equity industry. Dale previously held the position of Senior Vice President at Heitman, one of the largest investment management groups in the US.

Prior to joining Heitman, he advised Cushman & Wakefield in Germany as a Senior Investment Advisor, responsible for sourcing, structuring and managing investment transactions.

Entrepreneurial by nature, Dale has been involved in a number of start up ventures as well as managing his own real estate portfolio and promotions.

Daniel Mitchell - CEO

Daniel is an experienced serial entrepreneur, having founded and sold 3 high growth businesses. Highly experienced in developing strategy for rapid growth businesses and managing growth, practiced in raising debt and equity capital, negotiating and integrating acquisitions and exits. Daniel has been both an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year and a member of the Virgin Fast Track 100. Daniel is also the Chairman of Tribune Group, our joint venture partners who are currently focused on the UK market.

Konstantin Rainkin - Chief Operating Officer

Co-founder and the MD of the telematics company RTL, Konstantin has 20 years’ experience in custom telemetry systems development and implementation. Previous customers include Air Products, Nestle, Hoyer, BP and a number of SME fleets ranging in size from 25-250 vehicles. Konstantin has access to many senior executives, business owners and decision makers in the UK and a number of countries in Europe.

Rob Forsyth - Director

Rob joined the National Freight Corporation’s graduate training scheme, which led to a succession of roles up to a C-Suite appointment for a company running 150+ class 8 trucks in national and international operations. After 10 years in the haulage industry, Rob took over an automotive training business in 1995. Since then, the business has gone from strength to strength, with steady organic growth. Ignition deals with many of the biggest global manufacturers in the automotive sector.

Paul McCartie - Director

Lightsource are one of the world’s largest integrated solar companies having built over $3Billion of solar assets. As one of the company’s founders, Paul has overall responsibility for financial structuring of deals and debt project financing of Lightsource’s portfolio of solar assets. He structured and led the procurement of over $1.4 billion of project finance debt in 2015, including the first ever benchmark-sized bond, and the largest ever sterling renewables bond.

Paul’s experience and knowledge, gained throughout a successful career in project finance at Investec Bank and Rolls-Royce Power Ventures, have proved essential to Lightsource’s development and expansion from start-up to industry leader.

John Prior - Director

John has spent his entire career working in the financial markets. He joined Barclays Capital from college on their graduate training program where he gained a broad experience across equities, fixed income and derivatives before settling in a position in the commodities division.

In 1999 John joined Killik & Co and quickly rose through the ranks and became an Equity Partner in 2006. His investment expertise spans all the major asset classes, with a specialisation in derivatives. He was responsible for the launch and management of Killik & Co’s derivatives offering to retail clients and since 2006 was the sole investment manager of Killik Capital Managed Futures Strategy which he continues to run at Patronus Partners.

John is a CFA charterholder, a Fellow of the Securities Institute and holds a bachelors degree in Industrial Economics.

Kevin Campbell - Technical Director

Kevin has spent his entire 30-year career in the heavy-duty truck market with a particular emphasis on alternative fuels and low-emissions technologies. From his beginnings at the Engine Division of the Los Angeles area Caterpillar distributor, Kevin developed a keen technical knowledge of heavy-duty diesel engines.

His experience led to a role in a partnership with Caterpillar on multiple iterations of a natural gas dual-fuel engine across four engine models. Subsequent technology partners included Volvo Trucks AB and Navistar (International Trucks). Kevin participated in the design, development and marketing of these revolutionary products worldwide.

Paul Will - Executive VP
Business Development

On graduating from Indiana University, Paul initially joined KPMG as a senior accountant. A little over 3 years later he took a position as a financial controller for American Hi-Lift. An opportunity arose for him to move to Celadon as their financial controller. He worked his way through the ranks and became the CEO and Chairman of Celadon Group Inc, a $1bn top 50 trucking company, where he had a 24-year career in the trucking industry. He joins addvantage as our Executive Vice President of Business Development and brings with him a vast knowledge of every aspect of American trucking.

Stephane Herbert - Corporate Counsel

Stephane Hebert is our corporate legal counsel.

Stephane’s background as general counsel to major corporations, including Rolls Royce and Bombardier, provides him with comprehensive legal technical grasp, commercial insight and financial acumen, having led the negotiation and successful close of numerous international transactions.

French Canadian by nationality, with an impressive high profile network, Stephane will also be instrumental in supporting addvantage’s expansion in the Canadian market as well as the wider NAFTA region.

Mike Ayles - Head of
Product Development

Mike joined us from TT Electronics Plc (TTE), where he was one of the lead software, design and development engineers and all-round technical expert, working on a number of client projects at TTE for some of the biggest names in the high-tech sector globally. Mike was also the lead engineer on the addvantage project at TTE and was chiefly responsible for the successful redesign of the physical product. He now leads on all areas of product development, testing, technical monitoring and reporting, and continually liaising with our manufacturers, designers and other third-party specialists.

Weston LaBar - Advisor

Weston is a seasoned executive and entrepreneur with experience leading business organizations in trade, logistics, and energy. He has successfully led major capital improvement projects and advised on trade and logistics policy at the highest levels. Weston is the current CEO of the Harbor Trucking Association who are a coalition of Los Angeles and Long Beach intermodal carriers whose purpose is to advocate, educate and promote strategies with other goods movement stakeholders and policy makers that will sustain emission reductions, provide a dialog for intermodal truck efficiency, and to return cargo and jobs to Southern California ports.

Sanjeev Khagram - Advisor

Professor Sanjeev Khagram is a member of our US Advisory Board.

Sanjeev is currently the Dean of the Thunderbird School of Global Management at ASU as well as senior advisor to the LA Mayor’s Office. He has also worked with global organizations and governments globally, including major US corporations such as Facebook, GE and Walmart.

Widely published, Professor Khagram has held visiting professorships at Harvard among others. Educated at Stanford, and holding 2 PhDs as well as his Masters and undergraduate degrees, Professor Khagram bridges the divide between politics, business and academia including professional associations and universities all over the world from the local to international levels.

Juozas Vaznaitis - European Sales Director

A veteran of the European heavy-duty trucking sector, Juozas Vaznaitis brings to addvantage his vast experience of selling heavy-duty trucks to dealers, direct to large fleets and to brokers right across Europe.

Having sold thousands of trucks in multiple countries across Europe, Juozas brings both his experience and his unparalleled network of contacts to the team. Juozas will be responsible for building on our early sales successes and developing our commercial pipeline.

Karen Wilkinson - Marketing Manager

Karen had a lengthy career in the medical industry in both post sales and latterly sales.

Following a career break after the birth of her second child, Karen re-established her career with more of a focus on creativity, initially as a professional photographer and latterly moving into social media management as an early adopter of analytic social media strategies for SMEs.

Michael Stevenson-Smith - Chief Marketing Officer

An experienced marketing professional, Mike has been involved in multiple start-ups and and exits and has previously worked with Daniel Mitchell on successful start-ups. Mike has been involved since the beginning of the addvantage project, helping the team win multiple rounds of investments.

Maritha Marais - Executive Assistant

Maritha graduated from Stellenbosh University in 1998 before moving to Germany where she took a further degree at Frankfurt University before starting her career with Hapag Lloyd and TUI, initially as a flight attendant followed by promotion into TUI’s administration flight team.

Following on from TUI, she worked for a Swiss Private Equity firm in Zurich as Executive Assistant to the CEO.

Maritha is fluent in English, Afrikaans, German, Italian and Spanish.

Nick Weetman - Advisor

Nick has worked in supply chain and logistics for 38 years. His career has been evenly balanced between running supply chains for major blue chip retailers and manufacturers, and consulting. His consulting clients have included: The Houses of Parliament, NHS, Tate & Lyle, GHD & Reckitt Benckiser.

He is a director of Davies & Robson, the UK’s leading independent supply chain and logistics consultancy. Nick is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Transport and Logistics.

Tim Middleham - Advisor

A former banker with over 20 years experience in the City and latterly Head of Aviation for AUB bank. In 2004 Tim left the city to found his own logistics business. CML Telford was created to service the discount supermarkets. Within a few years CML was the largest warehouse and distributor for one of the largest supermarkets. CML operated from a 300,000sq ft chill warehouse in Telford with over 100 trucks and 200 trailers. The business was sold to the Culina group in 2018.

Jamie Parkinson - Operations
& Administration Support

Jamie has more than 25 years’ service in the financial sector, working in Investment Management, Global Custody, Fund Administration and KYC. Part of his work experience was based in Gibraltar and Jamie is competent with the Spanish language.
